16 Natural Remedies for Acne

Acne is a nightmare for many people. While it is common among all adolescents, anyone can suffer from acne, even children. Usually, acne occurs in a very important day for you, ruining your plans.

Generally occurs on the face and shoulders, but can also occur on the arms, body, legs and buttocks.

Acne can be triggered by factors such as:

  • Hormonal changes, due to stress, puberty and pregnancy
  • Usage of fatty and oily cosmetics
  • Improper eating habits
  • The administration of drugs such as testosterone, estrogen and other steroids

  • High humidity and perspiration

To prevent acne:

Here are some natural remedies that will help you get rid of acne:

  1. Lemon

Apply lemon juice with a small amount of rose water or rub the affected area with a slice of lemon and wash the are well after a few hours.

  1. Clay mask

Mix clay with water to make a thick paste and apply it directly to the affected areas. Wait 20 minutes, then wash with cold water.

  1. Toothpaste

Apply a small amount of toothpaste on acne areas before going to bed. Cover with a bandage for best results. This remedy will help you get rid of acne within 1-2 days.

  1. Paste of honey and cinnamon

Mix half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder with honey to obtain a smooth paste. Apply this paste on the problem areas and leave it for an hour or overnight. It’s ok if you use nutmeg instead of cinnamon, in the same proportion as honey.

  1. Sodium bicarbonate

Baking soda is the best exfoliant. It helps to clean dead skin before clogging the pores. It also decreases the acidity of the skin, reduces open pores and makes the skin smooth and soft. Mix with water and apply to the skin with circular motions. Leave to act for 10 minutes. Do not worry if the skin will be easily irritated.

  1. Tea tree oil

Apply one drop of tea tree oil on the pimples, three times a day for maximum results.

  1. Cucumber

Put cucumber in blender to get a smooth paste. Apply the paste on your acne affected area and wash after 30-40 minutes.

  1. Aloe vera

Aloe vera plant that has the best healing properties, acting as a soothing gel. This helps prevent acne and inflammation. Rub the affected areas with aloe vera gel to remove the scars.

  1. Oatmeal

Mix flour made from oatmeal with water and apply the thick paste obtained on the affected areas. Wait 15 minutes, then wash the face with warm water.

  1. Bio yoghurt

Apply yogurt to the affected areas and wash after 10 minutes.

  1. Olive oil

To reduce the acne scars and get a smooth skin, apply olive oil and massage gently until it is completly absorbed into the skin.

  1. Egg white

Egg whites helps heal scars caused by acne and reduces inflammation. Apply on affected areas and wash after 20 minutes with lukewarm water.

  1. Ice cubes

To reduce pimples, redness and swelling, apply ice cubes on the affected areas.

  1. Honey

You can apply honey on the affected areas for 30 minutes to make acne disappear. Before applying wash yourself with warm water, and after 30 minutes, wash yourself with cold water to close pores.

  1. Oranges

Peel some oranges and put the shells to dry in the sun. After drying, crush to a fine powder. Add water to obtain a fine paste to be applied to the affected areas for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.

  1. Grapes

Rub crushed grapes on the affected areas and wash after 15-20 minutes.

Hopefully these herbal recipes will help you get rid of acne. But remember that fast results are not guaranteed. So, use them for a long period of time (several months) if you want to get rid of acne permanently.
