DIY: 3 Homemade Makeup Products

Makeup is one of the greatest passions of women, but increasingly more make-up artists, and dermatologists encourage quitting makeup products found on the market, that are full of chemicals, and using as many natural cosmetics.

Even if your immediately thought is that they are more expensive, you should not worry too much. You can prepare yourself a few natural cosmetics, very cheap, even at home. Here are some of them:

  1. Foundation

One of the cosmetics which you can prepare at home is the foundation. Although it is not as strong as those purchased from the market, because it is made only from natural products, it is ideal for sensitive skin, who does not have too many imperfections.

You need:

  • Maranta root powder
  • Cocoa
  • Grated cinnamon
  • Olive oil or jojoba oil

To prepare this homemade foundation, combine in a ceramic bowl of a tablespoon of maranta powder with a little cinnamon or cocoa, depending on the color of your skin and add 5 drops of oil over them. Mix them well until you obtain a smooth paste and spread the foundation on the face with a brush.

If you did not get the perfect color for you, try to get the ideal dosage, making several attempts.

  1. Blush

Blush can be made also easily made by you.

You need:

  • Arrowroot flour
  • Cocoa powder or cinnamon for dark skin
  • Beet root or hibiscus flowers to get a pink tone for a light skin.

Mix the ingredients well, depending on the color you want to get in a container, until smooth.

  1. Mascara

Mascara is one of the most used cosmetics, but many of them contain many chemicals that can seriously affect your eye health. Prepare your perfect mascara only from natural ingredients, mixing a few drops of aloe vera (gel) with a few drops of vitamin E and a pinch of activated charcoal. Put the mixture obtained in a container of mascara and apply it on the eyelashes with a clean brush.
