Whiteheads are caused by the accumulation of fat in the skin pores. They are small cysts formed by improper elimination of the sebum secreted by the sebaceous glands. Like blackheads, these occur mainly on the face, especially around the nose, cheeks, temples and on the forehead.
Here are six solutions that you can try at home to get rid of the problem:
- Corn starch
Mix vinegar and corn starch in a ratio of 1: 3 to obtain a slurry that must be applied to the problem areas. Leave it to act for about 15-30 minutes, then wash your face with lukewarm water.
- Milk and lemon
Mix 50 ml of milk with a pinch of salt and two teaspoons of lemon juice. Use this mixture as a cleanser. It helps to deep clean pores, and removes blackheads and whiteheads. Lemon can be also use by cutting a slice and rubbing the affected areas.
- Almond powder
Mix almond powder and honey with a skin tonic lotion that does not contain alcohol, and regularly clean the affected area to remove whiteheads. The results will not fail to appear.
It is one of the most effective ways to remove blackheads and whiteheads. You have to apply a thin layer on the infected areas and leave it for about 25 minutes, then rinse well. Initially you may feel a burning sensation, but a little later it will disappear. This treatment is effective if applied every 2 weeks.
Antiseptic properties of tomatoes have the ability to dry up whiteheads and blackheads. Make a tomato puree and after exfoliating the skin, apply it to problem areas and leave it to act overnight. In the morning wash the skin with lukewarm water.
Mix 3 tablespoons of yogurt with 2 tablespoons of oatmeal, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of olive oil. The mixture should be applied on the face for 5-7 minutes. After the time has passed, rinse the face with cold water.
